Enugu APC In Alleged N1.3bn Scam

With less than two months to the general elections, aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress, Enugu State Chapter, have accused the party chairman in the state, Ugochukwu Agballah and the governorship candidate, Uche Nnaji, of embezzling over N1.3 billion belonging to the party.
The chairman of the protest group, the Concerned Members of Enugu State APC, Alphonsus Ude, made the allegation at the party’s national secretariat on Monday.

Taraba Varsity Workers Boycott Exams, Students Protest

Students of the Taraba State University, Jalingo, on Monday, blocked some of the major entry points into the city centre, demanding the payment of 10-month salary arrears owed to staff of the university by the Taraba State government.
The protest followed the decision of all the university unions including the Academic Staff Union of Universities, Non-Academic Staff Union and Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities not to continue with the examination scheduled to commence on Monday, January 9.
Plateau Debt Burden Over N200bn- Mutfwang

The Plateau State Governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has urged citizens of the State to allow him and his political Party in the forthcoming elections to offer credible leadership and bring the State out of its current socioeconomic woes.
Mutfwang disclosed the State’s debt burden is standing at over N200bn and only purposeful leadership would drive the process and ensure the enabling environment for the State to bring solutions that would guarantee a better deal for the people.
